Before you is a special issue of the magazine on two mile- stone events contributing greatly to Russia’s relations with the Islamic world: the 20th anniversary of the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia — Islamic World” and the 17th International Economic Forum “Russia — Islamic World: KazanForum.”
These two platforms form the “backbone” of Russia’s dialogue with the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Over two decades, the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia — Islamic World,” established on the initiative of Russia’s Pres- ident Putin, has brought together prominent politicians, diplomats, theologians and experts from Russia and 25 foreign countries, thus proving its worth.
KazanForum, which was bestowed federal status in 2023, became a true ecosystem of cooperation, bringing together more than 20,000 participants from 96 countries in 2025.
The momentum of the Group’s activities and of KazanForum proves that Russia and the Islamic world are well-positioned to shape the just multipolar architecture.

Before you is the first issue of our “Eurasian Dialogue” magazine in 2026.
This edition features the Department of Economic Cooperation (DEC) of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, currently headed by Dmitry Birichevskiy.
Today, as the world seeks new formats of engagement, the experience and expertise of the Department have taken on particular significance.
Invitation to explore current trends in multilateral economic diplomacy has found such a keen response from prominent representatives of key international organisations and the expert community.
We extend our gratitude to the leading experts from Russian ministries and agencies, as well as to representatives of key international organisations—the EAEU, CIS, SCO, APEC, BSEC and GECF—which have proven their effectiveness and relevance over many years.
It is within these forums that new approaches to cooperation are forged and the tools refined to satisfy and rec¬oncile the interests of nations.
